Quarter Horse Thoroughbred
Meet Forrest! Who needs a 17.1-2hh Appendix gelding that is loving, patient, and kind? Look no further! Here he is!
Forrest is 13 years old, loves trail riding, and has been shown in jumping classes. Forrest is suitable for a novice rider (with instruction, of course) and can be handled by a child on the ground. He has also done therapy work! We prefer that he retires from that world... he has paid his dues.
Forrest is missing his right eye (due to abuse endured years ago), but that doesn't slow him down from functioning as a happy and healthy horse! He is an absolute rock star with a dose of goofiness!
Forrest was donated back to our program after his owners had some changes to their lifestyle. Forrest would love to be a part of a family that wants a relationship with their horse. He would love to leave his jumping days behind him and do flatwork with a family. He is great on the trails and can do parades as well.
Update 12/4/17: Forrest has somehow stressed his SI joint and left fetlock (in the pasture?). As per vet's instructions, he will be on stall rest for the next month. Please contact us if you are interested in him. Thank you!
